Job Functions:Leads and/or supports cyber security research projects. Topics of research may include incident response, threat management, security metrics, security architecture, and security compliance.Assists Project/Program managers in assessing customer needs, formulating technical approaches, preparing proposals, technical publications/papers.Reviews progress and evaluates results. Makes changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary.Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on one or more cybersecurity skills.Works with Enterprise Information Technology and Operation Technology teams to reduce security risks. Works with administrators, engineers, and to create or update system policies, procedures, and process guides.Evaluates and analyses due diligence documentation audit results, and other information to assess the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.Assists in the review of vendor IT security programs and controls.Analyses vulnerability scans of systems and assist in remediation tasksPreferred Education, Skills, Certifications:BS degree in EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security,Telecommunications, or similar discipline.CISSP, CISA or CEH certificate is preferred. Ideal Candidate:Five to seven years experience supporting cyber security projects.Knowledge of cyber security fundamentals.Knowledge of Operation Technology and power delivery systems is preferred.Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices (CIS, NIST, ISO27k, IEC62443, etc.)Knowledge of standard networking protocols.Ability to acquire and develop cyber security expertise for electric sector technologies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills are required.Ability to convey technical results effectively to other staff and to clients/members.
