Technical Director - Infrastructure Dubai, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Director - Infrastructure to join our team! In this role, you will oversee the technical aspects of large-scale land development projects, from conceptualization to completion. This role is critical to the success of any development project and requires a highly qualified individual with extensive experience in managing complex engineering operations. Scope:As a Technical Director for land development engineering infrastructure, it is your job to navigate the technical complexities, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed to the highest standards. This includes managing the design, development, and other infrastructure projects critical to any land developments completion. The technical director is tasked with advancing the latest technologies and techniques in land development, infrastructure and utilities engineering, keeping current with emerging trends, materials, and methods to ensure the most cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable practices are employed on projects.What Youll Be Doing:

  • Work closely with other engineers, architects, project managers, and project directors to develop project designs and specifications, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure adherence to local safety and environmental regulations
  • Oversee the design process, manage staff, and coordinate with local officials to ensure zoning and land-use requirements compliance
  • Review and approve discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project
  • Review and approves staff forecasting reports
  • Monitor the quality and progress of the discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied
  • Work closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance or productivity.
  • Establish standards and procedures manuals for the discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures
  • Supervise the preparation of the disciplines annual salary plan and controls salary actions within the approved plan
  • Responsible for overall managerial and technical direction of the discipline
  • Support pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant
  • Ensures performance within overhead budgets assigned to the discipline
  • Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Program
  • Heads a committee within the discipline, striving to motivate and educate the assigned personnel
What Required Skills Youll Bring:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering in civil engineering from a reputable institution
  • Minimum 20 years experience engineering or land development design projects
  • Significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel
  • Thorough knowledge of local regulations, building codes, and engineering standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex engineering projects
  • Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel and directing work involving complex technical situations
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively with diverse teams of people, from contractors to local government officials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
