Job Description

Our Partner is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join the team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures to ensure their strength, stability, and safety. Your role will involve collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and efficient structural solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structures, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure, to ensure their structural integrity and adherence to safety standards and building codes.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop structural design concepts and solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Perform structural calculations, simulations, and analyses using software tools and engineering principles to determine load capacities, stresses, and deflections.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports related to structural design and analysis.
  • Evaluate materials and select appropriate construction methods to ensure optimal structural performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, such as civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate structural requirements into overall project designs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process.
  • Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical inquiries related to structural design and analysis.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. A masters degree or additional certifications are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Structural Engineer or in a similar role, working on structural design and analysis projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and design standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
  • Experience in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for structural modeling and detailing.
  • Familiarity with building materials, construction methods, and industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex structural challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure is preferred.
