Job Description

Roles & ResponsibilitiesSupport the annual financial planning and budgeting process, including preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of approved budgets.ú Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly financial reports, including actual vs. budget analysis and variance reporting.ú Analyse financial and operational results and preparing related comparison reportsú Perform monthly closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and trial balance reviews.ú Monitor cost centres, project costs, and operating expenses to ensure accurate recording and appropriate cost control.ú Prepare and maintain product and project costing, including actual costs, overhead allocation, margins, and cost of goods sold.ú Support sales pricing analysis by providing accurate cost, margin, and profitability information.ú Review purchase orders and CAPEX requests against approved budgets and supporting documentation.ú Monitor inventory accounting, including inventory closing, reconciliation, valuation, and reconciliation with the General Ledger.ú Ensure project and cost-related transactions are properly recorded and updated in the ERP system.ú Prepare and submit required monthly financial reports and MIS on time.ú Support internal and external audits by providing financial records, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.ú Assist in maintaining accurate financial reporting tools and analysis.ú Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and effective cost control.ú Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and approved financial procedures.ú Identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, and unusual transactions and escalate significant issues to the CFO.ú Support CFO in financial analysis, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting-related requirementsDesired Candidate ProfileBachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is mandatory/preferred.Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of project accounting, construction costing, and financial reporting.Good understanding of UAE VAT and financial regulations.Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel.Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.UAE/GCC experience preferred.
