Key Selection CriteriaKnowledge and experience in a variety of sectors including tech, mining and METS and a track record in delivering market access and trade and investment outcomes.Demonstrated experience in export management and development, with extensive experience and a proven track record of trade and investment facilitation into the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.Comprehensive understanding of both Australian and Middle Eastern, African and Turkish business and government environments including key industry, economic and socio-political drivers.Sound knowledge of Australian trade and economic ties with the Middle East, Africa and Turkey and proven knowledge of Victorias international business competitive advantages.Understanding of international business protocols and experience managing relationships within complex, multicultural organisations, governments and corporations.Superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including the ability to successfully conduct commercial/financial negotiations when representing the interests of the Government of Victoria, Australia.Extensive research and analytical experience, with sound conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to conduct research, identify issues and develop appropriate solutions.Desired Experience/QualificationsThe following experience and skills are highly desirable:A relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised instituteExperience in a regional business development role, particularly in the Middle East, Africa & TurkeyExcellent understanding of the Victorian and Australian environment, in particular experience working in Australia or with Australian-based organisations.
