Quantity Surveyor (Villa/ Building)Dubai, UAEParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor (Villa/ Building) to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of Quantity Surveying and standard estimating activities (individual or as part of a team) on an assigned project/program. The Quantity Surveyor / Estimator at this level has experience in review and prepare Bill of Quantities and applying standard estimating practices, techniques processes and procedures, and demonstrates familiarity in applying company policies and assigned project/program practices and procedures. What Youll Be Doing:

• Knowledge of pre and post contract administration for different contract types (re measure and lump sum is essential)
• Preparing / reviewing the Bills of Quantities
• Prepare and maintain budgets, estimates, cash flow forecasts, cost reports
• Verify and certify consultants and contractors interim applications for payment and issue payment certificates
• Review and assess consultants and contractors claims
• Review and assess Extension of Time claim in coordinate with the planning engineer and as directed by the Project Manager
• Participation in site visits & preparation of reports as directed by the project manager
• Ensure the submission of consultants and contractors insurances/bonds in accordance with the contract
• Assist in the close out procedure and prepare the consultants and contractors final account
• Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
• Advice on Contractors resource allocation.
• Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
• Check and record measure of work done.
• Monitor contracts final cost estimate.
• Maintain expenditure records.
• Review, negotiate and prepare claim settlements.
• Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
• Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
• Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills Youll Bring:

• Bachelors Degree in Quantity or Building Surveying/Civil Engineering with 10-15 years of related work experience involving in villa or building projects within UAE.
• Must have full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure Networks in the Emirates of Dubai.
• Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.
• Knowledge of pre and post contract administration.
• Familiarity with typical project controls software such as AutoCAD, Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is preferred.
• Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
