Proposal and Contracts Engineer

Job Description

Summary:As a Proposal and Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for estimating, supplier sourcing, procurement, tender review, proposal writing, coordination with inter-departments for information required for proposals packages, project management, and contracts. Your role will be instrumental in supporting the proposals and contracting department in achieving its goals and objectives.Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough market research and supplier sourcing to identify potential vendors and subcontractors to support project requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for tenders, including pricing, technical specifications, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the internal teams and external partners to develop a strong understanding of the project requirements and deliverables.
• Coordinate with inter-departments to gather information required for prequalification and proposals packages, including technical data, specifications, and other supporting documentation.
• Review tender documents to ensure compliance with the tenders requirements, including terms and conditions and scope of work.
• Develop and implement project management plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best terms and pricing.
• Monitor project progress and prepare progress reports, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise during the projects lifecycle.
• Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal and financial requirements.
• Staying informed about industry trends and best practices in proposal and contracts development and using this knowledge to support the development of high-quality proposals and contracts process.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal writing and contracts.
• A graduate of Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiation.
• Understanding of legal and financial requirements related to contracts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
