Job Description

Job Title: Senior Procurement Engineer We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Procurement Engineer to join the team. The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing procurement activities, including sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement processes and strategies. Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement activities, including identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, obtaining quotes and bids, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality, to understand technical requirements and specifications for procurement activities.
• Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms.
• Review and analyze supplier performance metrics, including delivery performance, quality, and cost, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and work with them to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, requests for quotes, and supplier performance evaluations, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior procurement team members, as needed.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement, and ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related field.
• Proven track record in procurement, with a minimum of [4 to 5] years of relevant experience, preferably in a technical/engineering environment, in UAE
• Strong technical background and understanding of engineering and technical specifications.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, bidding, contracting, and supplier management.
• Ability to analyze supplier performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
• Proficient in using procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
