Help with daily care routines such as feeding, changing, and settling children for naps.•Learning and Development: Support children’s learning through play- based activities. Encourage their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development by providing age- appropriate activities.•Health and Safety: Ensure the children’s safety at all times. Adhere to health and safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.•Observations and Reporting: Observe children’s progress and behavior, making note of any developmental milestones or concerns. Report observations to the lead practitioner or manager.•Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, sharing updates about their child’s development, daily activities, and any concerns.•Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to implement the nursery’s curriculum and ensure smooth day- to- day operations.•General Nursery Duties: Assist with tidying play areas, preparing snacks, and organizing materials and resources for activities.Key Requirements:•Passion for Childcare: A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to supporting their growth and development.•Experience: Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.•Qualifications: A childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or an equivalent is preferred. However, applicants with relevant experience and a strong desire to learn will also be considered.Skills:•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.•Ability to work well within a team.•A proactive and flexible approach to childcare duties.Personal Attributes:•Patient, caring, and nurturing demeanor.•Ability to adapt to various situations and respond to children’s individual needs.•Enthusiasm for early childhood education and development.•Safeguarding Awareness: Understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices.
