Role Title: Irrigation Technician Role Type: Outsourced, full time, on-site Work Location: Academic City, Al Ain Road, Al Ruwayyah 2, Dubai, UAE Contract Duration: 12 Months extendable Timings: *Sunday* to Friday 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM with one hour lunch time Role Purpose To maintain irrigation networks, tanks and pumping stations. Responsibilities Read and understand drawings or plan the layout of irrigation network. Cut, assemble, and install pipes and drip tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring) Repair issues of drip lines in experimental sites (e.g. leaks) Installation of water pumps Cleaning of existing water storage tanks (ZincAlum, GRP and Plastic) Flushing and cleaning of irrigation lines. Collection of flowmeter reading Qualifications and Experience Essential Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a plumber. Solid understanding of automatic irrigation systems. Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.) Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in hard weather conditions
