Employment: Full Time - Manage transactions relating to the financing, sale and purchase of vessels and support management in the negotiation of major contracts, acquisitions etc.- Advise and support the Management and Directors on M&A opportunities, investments, and company structure.- Manage the financial forecasting, budget, cash control and financial reporting for the company.- Organize management efficiently with all financial systems and processes in the company.- Advise and support the management team on all financial matters affecting the business.- Train and lead a highly professional finance team to manage day to day operations.- Implement operational best practices.- Report financial results to the board of directors.- Understand and mitigate key elements of the companys risk profile.]- Report financial results to the board of directors.- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.- Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors.- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations. REQUIREMENTS: - Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or equivalent.- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)/ Associate/Fellow of Chartered Accountants (ACA) or equivalent.- Experience in senior finance position, ideally having worked in the Middle East in a similar CFO or Senior Finance position within a large shipping or maritime related organization.- 10 years managing people and partnering with an executive team.- Relevant Shipping experience with knowledge of ship finance.- Dynamic and modern approach to managing finances and working as a member of the management team.
