Whilst they are with us we give tempting recommendations of our favourite drinks or food, or tips for local experiences that they won?t find in any guidebook.We are currently recruiting for a full-time Pastry Demi Chef de Parties to join our enthusiastic team at voco Dubai. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the pastry chef by preparing, presenting, storing, and serving a selection of pastry food items. Moreover, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure the efficient operation of such food production in areas in charge of by the Pastry Chef/Sous Chef/Chef De Partie.
  • Ensure safe, quality food products and complete guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible to maintain all standards set by the Pastry Chef/Sous Chef/Chef De Partie and establishing the manner and means to train personnel in his/her area of responsibility According to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain the highest food quality and controls for all food products Served in all areas, accordingly
  • Share overall responsibility of proper storing procedures, food orders, food cost, equipment, sanitation, and hygiene with the Chief Steward and the entire Stewarding team.
  • Comply and follow the highest health, sanitation, and safety, Standards necessary in food handling and overall cleanliness.
  • He guarantees that menus, recipes, methods, pictures, and specifications are given by the Pastry Chef /Sous Chef/Chef De Partie is followed exactly.
  • Attend required training related to HACCP, on-job, and other subjects.
  • Communicates politely and displays courtesy to guests and internal customers
  • Provides direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Cooks, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards
  • Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment, and other relevant information
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
  • Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
  • Prepares in advance food, beverage, material, and equipment needed for the service
  • Maintains a clean and hygienic work area
  • Implements the hotel and department regulations, policies, and procedures including but not limited to:
  • Health and Safety
  • Grooming
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid, fire, and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
At voco Dubai, we look for hosts who are reliably different and contribute in the success Of bringing our brand to life!Ideally, youll have a minimum of 2 years? experience in the similar role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, the ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along with being quality-oriented with focus on details, high-performance standards, able to multi-task in the kitchen & meet deadlines and Committed to serving food of the highest quality.
