We know people are what it takes to fulfill our purpose and deliver a strategy. We focus on enabling people working at Careem to be highly engaged and deliver the best work of their lives. Instead of the end-users of Careem apps, our ?customers? are Careem colleagues. We may not develop software, but we treat the topics on our agenda like products. This means we apply a product management approach to design, test, iterate and deploy solutions to problems within the organization.What you?ll do:As the Culture & Community Associate you will help implement a contextualized culture and community build program in the UAE, GCC and global level initiatives. You will also play a support role to the Head of Culture & Community to deliver and embed the culture agenda. As part of your role, you will collaborate and support the wider Culture and Community team from other regions, to execute community programs and experiences to achieve maximum engagement of colleagues and help them collaborate better. Building culture and community at Careem aims to improve peer-to-peer relationships, sense of belonging and build deep connection with our purpose and values. Here are the role requirements: *Community build events and activities management:Help create and deliver in-person, hybrid and virtual connection events in the UAE, GCC and globally at a weekly and monthly cadence. These events will target unifying colleagues that are regionally co-located and geographically dispersed.*Embed values into our workflow:Support implementation programs that build networking, community build and purpose connection with an intense focus on values alignment.*Lead local colleague recognition programs:Support the implementation of recognition programs that consistently and systematically recognize colleagues linked to our purpose and values. *Develop external alumni network:Support managing Careem alumni programs and employer brand opportunities. *Relationship building:Support networking and building internal culture champions in the UAE and globally to better inform the design of events, programs, experiences. *Internal comms:Design and maintain communication spaces & channels (offline & online ? Slack channels, office comms etc.) to keep colleagues informed, connected and promote collaborative culture.Travel:this role is expected to travel across the region (international) as per need.What you?ll needThis role demands a real passion for the customer, in this case, Careem colleagues. The role requires event facilitation, compelling storytelling skills, creativity and the mindset of starting with the customer first and working backwards. * 2+ years of facilitation experience with audiences of different sizes and backgrounds* You are creative and confident, with a strong ability to maintain high levels of energy and enthusiasm to execute events ranging from small gatherings to large sized events both in-person and virtually* You have strong relationship-building and influencing skills, are able to quickly establish trust and credibility with people in the organization ranging from junior colleagues to people managers* Experience in content creation and internal comms (writing, visuals, editing and public speaking)* Understanding of community building and event management frameworks, metrics and tools* Strong problem-solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently* Experience working in a startup and hypergrowth environment* Experience working with dispersed teams and in a multicultural environment* Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment* Understanding of local cultural normsWhere you?ll be* Even though we are working remotely, we are strong believers in collaboration and the power of building social connections with our teams.
