Job Description

Our Partner is seeking a talented and creative Architect to join the team. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures. Your role will involve conceptualizing architectural designs, developing detailed plans, and collaborating with clients, engineers, and contractors to bring projects to fruition. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements, goals, and constraints, and translate them into innovative architectural design concepts.
  • Create architectural drawings, plans, and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other visualization tools.
  • Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates based on design concepts, building codes, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, interior designers, and other professionals to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into architectural designs.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and gather relevant information for design and planning purposes.
  • Present design proposals and plans to clients, obtaining feedback and incorporating revisions as necessary.
  • Oversee and coordinate the construction process, including managing construction documents, reviewing contractor submittals, and addressing on-site design issues.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable standards throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Research and stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and sustainable design practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. A masters degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Architect or in a similar role, working on architectural design projects.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent design and visualization skills, with the ability to create compelling and innovative architectural concepts.
  • Experience in preparing construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the ability to address design challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Registration as a licensed Architect is preferred.
