Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIESThe Quality Assurance Engineer has the responsibility and commensurate authority to accomplish the following duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of the Quality Assurance audit plan in line with the Project Quality Plans.
  • To assist the QA Manager in the development and maintenance of the project quality performance indicators (QPIs).
  • Oversight of requirements for supplier?s and contractor?s quality assurance programs.
  • To participate in auditing the Project Quality Plan to assure its effective implementation.
  • Act as the Auditor for the project audits
  • To monitor the corrective and preventive Action Requests issued during project audits and close off once found acceptable.
  • To assist the Quality Assurance Managers in the development and implementation of an induction and training plan to ensure that project personnel are familiarized with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan.
  • To follow up on requested actions discussed with suppliers and contractors regarding their respective QA program.
  • To evaluate, assess and audit/survey suppliers and contractor?s quality on a regular basis so as to ensure the desired quality level is maintained.
  • To maintain a complete file of Quality Assurance records for all phases of the project.
  • Support Discipline Auditors during the Discipline Audit process
  • Prepare and develop Audit checklists & Reports.
  • Monitor the timely and effective close-out of Corrective Actions (CAs), Preventive Actions (PAs), and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Prepare Quality input to the Monthly Progress Report and the Project Status Reviews
  • Coordinate lessons learned efforts.
  • Review, organize, and share relevant lessons learned.
  • Collect project specific feedback (from client, AP staff, third parties)
  • Support RCA?s and support the continuous improvement initiatives.
