Job Description

Our client, one of the best engineering, procurement, construction and contracting companies in Qatar, is looking for a Workshop Manager experienced in Oil and Gas industry to join their team in Doha. The main objective of this job is to handle the overall activities of the workshop.?Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the work is carried out correctly on time, economically and in a safe manner
  • Be the focal point for the fabrication work
  • Act as Offshore focal point regarding fabrication activities and liaise with the client
  • ?Oversee daily operations, making sure production cycles are met as per schedule
  • Deal with raw material, equipment, manpower resources and administrative processes efficiencies
  • Ensure that the proper equipment is on hand and ready to meet production demands
  • Analyze and adjust work schedules, solve production problems, handle quality issues, and manage customer interactions
  • Plan for employee training and skill development
  • Make sure operations align with company policies and procedures is also part of the job
  • This job is multifaceted, and the skill sets include technical know-how, leadership skills and interpersonal intelligence
  • Personnel matters will also the workshop manager?s responsibility
