Job Description

We are looking Windows Operating System Security Update Manager for Qatar location.We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Windows Operating System Security Update Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the timely and effective implementation of monthly security updates for Windows operating systems across our desired pool of servers.Responsibilities:Monthly Security Patch Management: Coordinate and manage the deployment of monthly security updates released by Microsoft for Windows operating systems.Risk Assessment: Evaluate the criticality and potential impact of security vulnerabilities addressed by each update, prioritizing deployment based on risk levels.Testing and Validation: Develop and execute a comprehensive testing plan to ensure that security updates do not conflict with existing applications or system configurations. Validate the effectiveness of patches in addressing identified vulnerabilities.Deployment Strategy: Develop and maintain an efficient deployment strategy, considering factors such as network bandwidth, system uptime requirements, and geographical distribution of endpoints.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of security update deployment activities, including schedules, test results, and deployment status. Generate regular reports to communicate update status, compliance levels, and any identified issues to relevant stakeholders.Incident Response: Provide support for incident response activities related to security vulnerabilities, including investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing remediation measures.Vendor Coordination: Liaise with Microsoft and other relevant vendors to stay informed about upcoming security updates, obtain patches, and seek assistance in resolving deployment issues or technical challenges.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Extensive experience in administering and managing Windows operating systems in enterprise environments.In-depth knowledge of Windows Update Services (WSUS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), or similar patch management solutions.Strong understanding of security best practices and principles, particularly related to vulnerability management and patch management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and prioritize tasks effectively.Proven experience in coordinating and managing complex IT projects, including testing and deployment activities.Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.⁠Hands on experience with Qualys will be preferred.If you are interested, please send the below details at the earliest.Your CV in word format:Total Yrs of Experience:Relevant Experience in Windows servers:Experience in security vulnerabilities:Experience in Windows Update Services (WSUS), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM):Any other Certifications:Current Salary:Salary Expectation in QAR:Notice Period:Current Location:Nationality:Visa Type:You can be able to relocate to Qatar:
