A Bachelor?s degree in engineering, BA Or Equivalent is required, as well as professional designations in at least one relevant organization.A minimum of 20 years of work experience is required, with at least 5 years in estimating and 10 years in value engineering. Roads experience is preferred.The Value Engineering Specialist / Conceptual Estimator is responsible for developing conceptual estimates as required by the planning department, and identifies the most optimum design solutions to be applied for various areas of the program. This person will lead the quantity surveyors in developing the subject estimates.This specialist will participate in value engineering exercises during the design phase of the program, and will coordinate value engineering requirements with design leads.
