Job Description

??Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.??Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.??Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.??Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.??Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.??Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.??Deliver goods to wholesale outlets, retail stores and customers on behalf of the employer, ensure that goods to be delivered are safe and secure.??Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated places.??Locate the address where the order is to be delivered.??Assist in loading goods to be delivered into the truck??Assist in offloading merchandise at the point of discharge.??Issue invoices and obtain customers? signatures upon delivery of the order.??Receive payments and give out changes on behalf of the employer when requested to do so.??Take inventory of goods to be delivered to make sure that the quantity and quality conform to the order.??Maintain a logbook to record all transaction details like name of customer, address, order description, time of delivery, money collected, and expenses incurred.??Chart route for easy delivery of packages.??Ensure that the vehicle is always kept clean and in proper working condition.??Report any case of damage to the vehicle or the goods to the employer or dispatcher.??Receive customers? inquiries and complaints and channel them to the employer.??Monitor weather conditions to determine the best time to carry out the delivery.??Report any accident or issue that may affect the timely delivery of the goods to the dispatcher or employer.??Compliance with company policy of finishing all assigned deliveries before the end of the work day.??In charge of client returns processing including checking and segregating, tallying with documentation for returns i.e. Return Voucher.??Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.??Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.??Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to the Maintenance personnel.??Comply with all in-house regulations, rules and procedures.??Load, handle and transport food items safely to the clients.??Deliver goods to assigned destinations unload goods after delivery and complete paper works.??Deliver goods with good attention to customer service and safety.??Check vehicles and troubleshoot and maintain vehicles.??Monitor the Preventive Maintenance Checklist for Pre-service inspections.??Refuel and clean vehicles, as well maintain the cleanliness of the trucks assigned.??Follow traffic rules and follow accident procedures.??Maintain a positive attitude with the clients.??Keep commercial driver license up to date.??Follow up the road permit istimara renewal, insurance and FAHES inspection.??Respect and perform any task assigned by the manager not mentioned in the job description, contribute to improving the work.
