To Manage the Transport operation at site in line with effective cost control and route planning to maximize the efficiency of the fleet.
To operate within the company?s Health & Safety policies and procedures.
To help with forecast expenditure.
Ensure customer service standards are met.
Advise on new vehicles.
Ensure fleet is maintained to a professional standard. Vehicles are clean and drivers are in proper uniform.
Ensure drivers understand their responsibilities with regard to fleet operation, hour of work and rest breaks, health and safety and driving regulations.
Audit and review driver?s rounds. Ensure there are operated in an efficient manner.
Ensure customer service standards are met and all deliveries are covered.
Make sure that all Company procedures relating to transport are followed.
Check that drivers are carrying out the required daily, weekly, and monthly checks on vehicles, (to include pool cars).
Carry out 6 monthly license checks.
Carry out or arrange for necessary driver training as required.
Advise on new vehicles that best fit customer and delivery requirements.
Ensure correct driver numbers, holiday cover for all job roles, working Rota and route planning to maximize efficiency whilst maintaining customer expectations.
