Job Description

About the role:Hamad International Airport is seeking a skilled and dedicated Technology Services Controller (CCTV) to join our team in the IT department. As a Technology Services Controller, controls and oversees installations, upgrades, maintenance and support of IT Infrastructure Services. Ensures IT systems are designed and implemented in compliance to corporate IT standards. Key responsibilities

  • Manage contractors responsible for the repair and maintenance of ELV systems (Access Control System, CCTV System, Video Analytics, FOD Detection System, Face Recognition System etc.) at HIA & DIA.
  • Evaluate architecture for the ELV Systems, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery requirements are met for business continuity.
  • Validate maintenance contractor actions during management and troubleshooting of application and database of ELV Systems.
  • Run database queries to extract information from backend database.
  • Good knowledge of access card technology, biometric technology, IP cameras, software/ hardware interfaces, providing high availability solutions and managing effective communication with all internal/ external Stakeholders, Vendors, and Suppliers.
  • Coordinate with various internal/ external stakeholders to gather business requirement and plan the implementation/ upgrade of ELV Systems accordingly.
  • To control, supervise and coordinate installations, maintenance, upgrade and support of ELV Systems to meet the business objectives of HIA.
  • Manage the technical expertise within the team so that resources are appropriately and effectively allocated for design and installation & commissioning activities based on their skill level and operational/ project requirements.
  • Liaise with various IT teams to keep systems and servers up-to-date with the latest Operating System (OS) patches and antiviruses and perform periodic back-up and restoration drill for the ELV systems for business continuity.
  • Ensures processes and standard operating procedures (SOP) are documented, reviewed and updated on regular basis.
  • Ensure all established IT infrastructure library (ITIL) processes and procedures are implemented and adhered for standardized Services and support across IT platforms, to enhance and improve IT service provisions, stability and predictability.
