Job Description

Purpose:As Technical Store Controller you will work closely with the News Gathering unit, the Production team and the Broadcast Engineers to manage filming and transmission equipment used in ENG and external productions. You should ensure all equipment are in good condition and provide the proper kit for the job, whether onsite or off-site, along with keeping track record of equipment?s movements, maintaining a full digital inventory and timely highlight any discrepancies to the Supervisor in order to reduce inaccuracies. In some cases you will liaise with external providers booking equipment and/or preparing the needed logistic support for upcoming events. You will be also responsible for organizing and prepare the required equipment export documentation.??Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the equipment store on a day-to-day basis, with ensuring equipment is regularly checked, maintained and easy to find. The asset register is accurate, and replacements and upgrades are planned
  • Ensure that the components kits required for internal productions and external deployments are picked accurately and prepared in a timely manner
  • Log out and log in the delivered items accordingly and correctly, by following procedures and internal rules (also in software system)
  • Identify weaknesses and suggest improvement for the business
  • Process and verify Export Documentation, consisting of ATA Carnets and Customs Documents as required
  • Communicate in a precise and timely manner with varied departments to assist the delivery and the transport of equipment to other company bureaus
  • Evaluate (unserviceable/defective) returned items for repair, waste, eventually ordering the needed parts and performing full registration in the system according evaluation
  • Clean, lubricate and calibrate store equipment as needed, using work instruments and cleaning materials
  • Make sure follows up on all technical or operational issues observed and escalate issues to relevant unit as well as to external providers
  • Work alongside with external providers to prepare the needed logistic support for upcoming events
  • Asset tracking and inventory conduct with inventory ?spot? checks on regular basis
  • Advise on purchasing new equipment and filming solutions
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness in the Store Area
