Job Description

The Technical Advisor is responsible for perform technical diagnosis, complaint confirmation, confirms complaint resolution with the customer(for difficult repair cases) for vehicles brought in for general repair. Provides and coordinates technical assistance to the workshop, Serves as the Fix-It-Right support of NSD and Supports in workshop technical difficulties.

  • Accurately diagnoses the customer complaints using the TSM compliant forms such as diagnosis questionnaire;
  • Performs accurate diagnosis based on DISTs technical support in case of difficult to clarify causes;
  • Carries out troubleshooting and repairs for the cases that are needing high-tech diagnosing procedure;
  • Checks and evaluates all warranty cases being claimed by the customers;
  • Performs joint road test and provides repair recommendations to the customers;

  • Performs quality check (static and dynamic) on all jobs assigned to his group;
  • Constantly coordinates and communicates with NSD for technical difficulties in reception diagnosis and request technical support as per FIR SOP;
  • Assists and supports all Reception Staff in implementing and sustain 5S program;
  • Ensures safety compliance by following the TMC recommended safety enhancement activities related to reception areas;
  • Reports Service Reception related accidents and implements preventive countermeasures
  • Responsible for share information by using repair manuals, service bulletins and technical information to support technically difficult repairs and diagnosis;
  • Coaches workshop assigned group in methodical diagnosis to ensure Fix-It-Right activity;
  • Ensures all customer request (Prime Items) has been done and resolved;
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of FIR activity as requested by the direct supervisor;
  • Creates workshop technical report such as Technical Report of the product quality issues, Customer request, Workshop Technical Report, WTR and Service Report);
  • Attends and passes the TSM Kodawari trainings and assessments;
  • Promotes Kikken Yochi training activities to assigned group;
  • Complies with the TSM Kodawari items related to reception and workshop operations;
