Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Functions as a skilled level Technician & Electrician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair.
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance tocompany standards and procedures.
  • Ensures seat covers, steering wheel cover, gear level cover and floor matt cover are in the vehicle before carrying out any repair.
  • Install fender covers before carrying out any repair on the vehicle.
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
  • Attach initial & final star diagnosis print out to the repair order if needed.
  • Ensures all documentations are attached to the job repair according tocompany standards.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Ensure that parts availability before carrying out the repair.
  • Prepares an additional report if needed.
  • Gets a warrantee decision from the warranty department before carrying out any warranty repair.
  • Carry out the repair within factory time.
  • Saved and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Ensures warranty department signs off as receiving warranty return parts on Repair Orders ( Hard Copy.)
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if future safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicates with the Team Leader immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order including an accurate legible customer complaint cause and correction as performed.
  • Consults Team Leader to assist in diagnosis of unusual problems.
  • Keeps abreast and maintains file of echnical bulletins.
  • Update technical knowledge by reading all technical reports from DCME and knowing the new update information in the EWA net (WIS. ASAR).
  • Supervises work of ant technician helper as assigned.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to Team Leader.
  • Ensures that customers cars are kept clean. Notifies Team Leader immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keep work areas neat and clean.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protection equipment.
  • Maintains and is accountable forcompanys owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in thesame condition as they were received.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Attends meetings and training as required.
  • Maintains professional appearance and neat work area.
  • Carry put any temporary assignment requested from your manager.
