Job Description

Rixos Qetaifan Island North Opening mid 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country?s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North?s waterpark attraction The Icon Tower, the world?s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.Tailor - WaterparkThis position is responsible for the maintenance of all uniforms and fabrics used in the Water Park by guests and colleagues according to the Water Park standards.What?s in it for you:

What you will be doing:
  • Repair, alter and sew on buttons, fix zippers of all uniforms used in the Water Park
  • Perform minor repair work and alteration of colleague items upon request
  • Altering garments to improve their comfort and fitness such as narrowing lapels, shortening the straps, sleeves, etc.
  • Repairing the garments, for example, sewing holes and tears.
  • Placing labels on the garments as requested.
  • Assists with checking, sorting, and distributing of uniforms.
  • Maintains and keeps all machines and work areas clean and in good condition.
Other Responsibilities
  • Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
  • Attend all briefings, meetings and training as assigned by management.
  • Always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships.
Your experience and skills include:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Proven experience working as a tailor
  • Having strong knowledge of fabrics, constructions, and clothing designs.
  • Background in embroidery Location
  • Excellent ability in using the sewing machine and other accessories to support the job.

  • Having good hand coordination.
  • Service oriented with an eye for details
  • Having excellent problem-solving, organizational, and management skills because this job is providing services.
  • Able to develop rapport with colleagues and management staff
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
