Job Description

DescriptionTechnical role, works in a team, manages and configures backup solutions for ABA datacenter, servers, and systems ensuring availability of proper backup and able to restore any backup for any servers and systems and applications any time.

  • Administration, Monitoring & Troubleshooting of data backups and restorations
  • Upgrade of Media Server to latest version
  • Upgrade of Master Server to latest version
  • NetBackup Upgrade through Deployment Policies (Vxupdate)
  • Installation of New Media Server to latest NetBackup Version
  • Upgrade of OST
  • Co-ordinating with vendors for hardware issue
  • Carrying out Backup and restore management activities like scheduling configuring & verifying backup jobs.
  • Handling Escalations for Backup and Restore.
  • Implementation of VMware Environment including installation of Hot Add Media Server
  • incident and problem handling
  • Vendor co-ordination for support and requirements related to backup solutions
  • Backup solutions Scoping and Design
  • Review Performance, Availability & Capacity of Systems, Data Center, Servers and backup solution
