Structural Engineering SpecialistJob Purpose:Responsible for Offshore Greenfield Engineering activitiesfor NFPS-Major projects and ensuring contractors deliver high quality andcomplete engineering deliverables which adhere to Projects Management System(QGPMS). Stewards Offshore Greenfield engineering design aspects of the Projectwith other disciplines as necessary.Key Job AccountabilitiesEnsure offshore greenfield structural Engineering disciplineactivities and contribute to the project department strategy and goals.Ensure technical activities through interactions with theproject owner, shareholder, facilities owner, contractors, vendors,consultants.Reviews and approves EPC Contractor offshore greenfieldstructural engineering related deliverables and is responsible for providingand consolidating Company comments for the associated discipline in respect toDetailed design of Offshore platforms, e.g Pre-service & in- serviceanalysis , pipe supports, foundations, etc., during EPC to enable earlyconstruction and installation; Compliance with design methods and safetyfactors, to be used in project design; Systems and design ensuring correctness,compliance and operability; Technical bid tabulations for purchase of materialand early construction; Material manufacturing tests and Factory AcceptanceTests (FATs) protocols and procedures.Ensure the Offshore Greenfield scope of supply isengineered, designed and integrated to the overall project design and isconsistent with project requirements.Support the engineering team of external organizations,entities appointed representatives to ensure engineering design addresses eachcompanies? expectations consistent with Qatargas, QP and Project?s objectivesMonitors, reviews, evaluates and provides necessary guidanceto team members, contractors and all 3rd-party service providers throughout theproject while ensuring that the facilities are constructed per the scope,meeting all standards and specifications and safety factors within the time andproject cost as approved.Participates in contracting and procurement activities toensure structural engineering requirements are met from pre-qualification,preparation of bid invitations and requests for quotation, bidding,evaluations, contract execution and performance, and contract close-out.Reviews including risk assessments, 3-D model reviews andHAZOP/HAZID related to offshore greenfield structural engineering.Ensures compliance with QG systems and processes includingthe Qatargas Project Management System (QGPMS) and maintains support andadoption of all processes. Prepare plans and work schedules that ensureeffective completion of projectsEnsures timely project execution and implementing theCompany integrity and reliability systems as per project plan.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent Majoring inEngineering in the area of specialization.8 years experience in in a project execution relatedenvironment with broad experience of projects, engineering and operations.Excellent written and spoken English skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Good organizational skills.Computer literate with advance knowledge of engineeringsoftware systems and tools.
