Job Description

Provide the best childrens program available:

  • In a warm and friendly atmosphere
  • Staffed by personnel who care, are enthusiastic and understanding
  • In a sparkling clean environment
  • With properly functioning, safe equipment
  • In a professional manner for both parents and children
Employee Management:
  • Interview, hire, train, develop, retain, supervise, discipline, and terminate Lead Teachers and Assistants.
  • Implement and uphold employee policies and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling staff for daily operation, classes, and parties, handling vacation requests.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings for teaching tips and safety techniques.
  • Capable of performing all duties of Lead Teachers and Assistants in addition to the duties of the Training Director.
Member Management:
  • Establish rapport with parents/customers.
  • Ensure parents are happy with the program/facility.
  • Listen and respond to parents? needs, working out problems with the Facility Manager.
  • Handle parent questions and complaints in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Assist in creating weekly announcements, keeping parents and employees informed.
Class Registration:
  • Handle registration and payment for all services.
  • Supervise staff in handling registration properly.
  • Ensure Waiting List parents are informed.
  • Ensure all tuition is paid promptly.
  • Develop strategies to increase class enrollment in collaboration with marketing and Facility Manager.
Post-Registration:
  • Ensure attendance is kept for all classes.
  • Handle make-up classes properly.
  • Contact guests to fill available positions when a member no-shows.
  • Follow up with guests to promote future registration.
  • Contact parents whose children have not attended class three times in a row to ensure all is well.
Facility Management and Administration:
  • Assist Facility Manager in maintaining and managing computer and TOMS.
  • Assist Facility Manager in keeping web announcements and schedule current.
  • Accountable for all inventory duties.
  • Review and update the facility?s emergency response plan as necessary.
Daily Facility Operations:
  • Assist Facility Manager to ensure scheduled staff is ready, willing, and able to work.
  • Answer phone calls, return messages, and check email as needed.
  • Greet members and new customers.
  • Ensure the facility is clean and tidy throughout the day.
  • End-of-day cleanup to prepare for the following day.
Class Operations:
  • Ensure classes are run properly.
  • Ensure the enthusiasm of staff and participants.
  • Ensure that children are enjoying the class.
  • Ensure staff members have smiles on their faces.
Facility Operations:
  • Ensure that the facility is monitored by staff.
  • Ensure that the facility is clean and safe.
Birthday Parties:
  • Encourage booking of birthday parties well in advance.
  • Ensure deposits are received at least one month before the party.
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure all party supplies are on hand.
  • Explain all details of birthday party practices to parents.
  • Ensure every party is appropriately staffed.
Weekly:
  • Inventory of operating and marketing supplies.
  • Provide a list of items needing purchase or replenishment to the Facility Manager.
Cleanliness:
  • Ensure the gym is spotless every day. All employees share this responsibility.
Personal Appearance:
  • Maintain professional appearance through proper clothing and good hygiene.
