Job Description

Job SpecificationMaintain Operator TrainingSimulators by addressing system issues, performing periodic system healthcheck, system backup and by updating simulator models as per plant managementof changes.Design and implement new simulatortroubleshooting training scenarios.Contribute extensively to an OperatorTraining Simulator project with a high degree of independence.Key JobAccountabilities

  • Perform software maintenance of allsimulator models.
  • Troubleshooting and fixingsimulator issues during simulator training.
  • Performing periodic system backupand hardware and software health check.
  • Liaising with Centre of Expertise and Maintenance teamto address hardware/software failures in simulator models.
  • Manage antivirus updates.
  • Design and implement new simulatortroubleshooting training scenarios in coordination with Operation team andInstructors.
  • Manage implementation of managementof change in training simulator models
  • Contribute with followingactivities during new Operator Training Simulator Project by liaising with Engineering,Ventures and/or PMT team
  • Provide expertise in performingpreliminary analysis and design for all Operator Training Simulator projects.
  • Assist to develop and review Statementof work (SOW) or work scope for new simulator models.
  • Address vendors? technicalclarification during project bidding phase.
  • Define detailed Operator TrainingSimulator Technical requirement during project kick-off meeting with Vendor.
  • Review and approve trainingsimulator deliverables by participating in system acceptance test viz. ModelAcceptance/Validation Test, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and projectdocuments.
  • Liaise with Centre of Expertise andMaintenance team to manage simulator spares.
  • Liaise with Obsolescence Managementteam to manage simulator hardware/software obsolescence.
  • Develop a broad understanding ofthe key techniques and applications across all installed Training Simulators.
  • Provide simulation technicalinformation and expertise to other disciplines, engineering and non-engineering,as per requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Formal Engineering Degree preferablyin Chemical engineering, Petrochemical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Hands on experience in processsimulation software i.e. steady state and dynamic simulation.
  • Knowledge of control Systems like Foxboro,Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, TRICONEX and CCC control systems
  • Minimum 10 years of workingexperience in process modelling and OTS using Unisim Operation, Unisim Design,Dynsim, FSIM/SCP and TRISIM.
  • Should have hands-on experience offollowing processes: Gas processing, Refinery, Offsite, Utilities.
