By bringing together a diverse group of people, we have benefited from the differing skill sets, experiences, and perspectives that each person brings.We are seeking applicants for the position of the Senior Principal Information Security Engineerin our Qatar Campus.This position is responsible for engineering and operations aspects of computer security incident response, discovery, examination and testing of new threats, and working with groups internally and externally to the division to ensure that new projects and services meet appropriate levels of security.Job Responsibilities1.Respond to computer security incidents. This may entail doing research, scanningmachines, accessing usage logs, etc., to confirm reports.2.User contact will also be needed in order to inform people of breaches as necessary, and to obtain detailed information.3.Conduct necessary content preservation, search, and production as well as technical architecture assay to support the eDiscovery needs of the University.4.Contribute to establishing departmental strategies, policies, and procedures including ITarchitecture and infrastructure.5.Design, install, and manage information security systems for logging, monitoring, access control, audit, etc.6.Assist with analysis of compromised computers or accounts when appropriate.Education/Training:1.Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in experience (asevidenced by employment history, professional certification, and/or academictrack record) required2.Experience: 8-10 years of system/software engineering experience.CMU?s COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements: As a condition of employment, Carnegie Mellon University requires all staff and faculty working in the United States to be fully vaccinated, including a booster when eligible, against COVID-19.
