Job Description

Job Purpose:The Senior Officer - Port Operations carries out general Port and on-board vessel duties and other assigned tasks to support daily operation requirements in compliance with defined department procedures and instructions given by the direct supervisor while assuring enforcement of best practice in the scope of responsibilities.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all daily tasks instructed by the direct superior are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure smooth vessel boarding and reporting in line with the nature of the operations pertaining to the type of vessel: Containers / General Cargo/ Bulk Carrier / Tug & Barge/ Tankers / Yachts / Cruise.
  • Provide required assistance to team members.
  • Coordinate with relevant ground staff to ensure effective running of operations.
  • Ensure effective liaison with the relevant internal and external parties to support smooth running of operations.
  • Ensure round the clock availability and act promptly and effectively in case of emergency.
  • Ensure high quality of service is delivered to customers.
  • Comply with the company/Port QHSSE approved policy.
  • Observe ISO Management System Standards
