Senior Electrical EngineerJob PurposeAdvises and supports electrical Engineering activities with Sr. Engineer level competency during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset whilst ensuring project deliverables meet Operations expectations in term of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle.Key Job Accountabilities

• Ensures appropriate support is provided to project maintenance and operation teams and ensure all project activities is carried out in accordance and compliance to QG approved project system completion philosophy and in compliance with the department KPI?s with high safety and quality standards.
• Manages major projects execution works and quality inspections in coordination with other stakeholders & respective contractors. Plan and ensure necessary resources are made available for the safe and successful execution of projects as per approved system completion philosophy. Provide leadership and ensure that project activities are adequately reported, efficiency is measured and ?Lessons Learned? are captured.
• Reports commissioning/startup/Early operation progress and anomalies to the Head of Maintenance on day to day basis.
• Demonstrates commitment to HSE excellence. Support Safety, Health and Environment policies and programs, and perform specific duties and responsibilities related to work scope per the Company?s management system documentation, policies, procedures, safety manual and other related documents.
• Ensures that personnel are trained to required competence.
• Reviews/approves electrical testing plans (ITPs), pre-commissioning, commissioning /start-up procedures and PMCRs.
• Develops and technically negotiates service agreements and call-off contracts with major electrical equipment vendors, contractors and OEMs if required.
• Reviews and endorses project part of engineering studies, facilities management of changes (PMOC/MOCs), projects interface agreements (IAs), support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) recommendations/implementation, support risk screening, risk assessments.
• Oversees the PMC activities related to electrical works, which include electrical component testing, initial energizing, and solo running of drivers.
• Ensures electrical works during commissioning and startup periods are successfully completed.
• Organizes & coordinates all electrical works during early operation of new projects.
• Reports work in close coordination with other commissioning and startup electrical team members.

• Provides input as necessary to System Mechanical Acceptance Packages (SMCPs) to support Systems completion plan and participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup activities, mechanical completion checks, running tests, punch list and follow up.
• Oversees/approves systems acceptance. Ensures that hand over files of commissioned facilities from project management teams (PMT?s) include all documents such as: Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Engineering Mechanical Catalogues, Vendor manuals etc.

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8 years? experience in the area of specialization within Oil and Gas industry and at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
• Understands and sensitivity to a multi-cultural working environment.
• Technical experience in electrical discipline with specific involvement in design development, construction, commissioning and Startup of large Oil and Gas process facilities. LNG experience would be an advantage.
• A comprehensive understanding of electrical testing, commissioning and start-up process
• Ability to review/approve commissioning procedures and reports, and coordinate/oversee the commissioning/startup schedule,
• Experience with contractors and worldwide suppliers in particular those involves in the construction of major Oil & Gas process facilities.
• Experience with high voltage electrical equipment and distribution systems with Gas Insulated Switchgears, multifunction protection systems for generators, switchgears, transformers, cables, motors etc.
• Experience with Electrical Integrated Control Systems and Power Management System for Power Generation and distribution, Voltage regulation, synchronization and load shedding operations.
• Experience with excitation and protection system of large Gas Turbine generators, Steam Turbine Generators and Emergency Diesel Generators.
• Experience with Large Variable Frequency drives with motoring and generating functions
• UPS, Battery chargers
• Commissioning and start-up of various electrical equipments such as transformers, switchgears, cables, motors, UPS, Battery Chargers, industrial lighting, Electrical Heaters etc
• Advanced level knowledge in general and large scale industrial machineries including gas turbines, compressors, dry gas seal, pumps, etc.
