Job Description

Our client, worlds largest LNG company, is urgently looking for a?Senior Contract Engineer?willing to work under the following conditions for an upcoming project:Terms and ConditionsWork Location: Doha, QatarStart Date: ASAPDemobilization Date: Dec 2023Status: SingleMob/demob ticket: ProvidedMedical Insurance: ProvidedQualifications & Experience Required

  • Engineering background with a minimum of 15 years? experience in O&G installations related to engineering and construction contracts and administration.
  • Good knowledge of the industrial context, contract practice and Oil & Gas operations in general.
  • Management of change orders, assessment, negotiation and settlement of claims.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, GEP SMART and SAP software.
  • Good sense of contact and communication.
  • Fluent in English.
Roles And Responsibility
  • Prepare and manage, as necessary, the whole contracting process in compliance with COMPANY procedures and with due respect to approved schedule and milestones under the supervision on COMPANY C&P EPL Head. This includes:
  • Preparation to the validation of the contracts strategy through:
    • Arranging and attending COMPANY?s Contract Committee and COMPANY?s shareholder Contract committee
    • Pre-qualifying bidders
    • Defining target prices
    • Defining criteria for evaluation
  • Preparation of tendering dossiers (technical Exhibits, General and Particular conditions), the launching of CFTs, the management of the clarification / negotiation phases, the evaluation of contractual and commercial proposals and the issue of final Recommendations to Award.
  • Preparation and follow-up of the associated commitment process, including COMPANY?s Contract Committee and COMPANY?s shareholder Contract Committee.
  • Prepare / coordinate the final set of contractual / commercial / technical and HSE documentation for these CONTRACTS.
  • Contractually and commercially manage the awarded Contract(s), and liaise actively with relevant technical specialists for the technical management of Contractor(s) and C&P Division for contractual and commercial matters.
  • Provide contractual support during the execution phase of E&C Frame Agreement and brownfield projects. Ensure E&C team members are aware of contractual aspects of projects.
  • Analyse the contractual correspondence/documentation received from ENGINEER / CONTRACTOR and prepare the necessary answers.
  • Ensure timely submission and adjustment by ENGINEER / CONTRACTOR of guarantees and insurance certificates as per the CONTRACT.
  • Prepare the certificates to be issued by ENGINEER / EPCIC CONTRACTOR, Fabrication Contractor as provided for in the CONTRACT, for signature by the parties involved.
