Job Description

Position SummaryThe position is responsible for the coordination and administration of clinical research operations, and assisting with monitoring compliance to research millstones, protocols, and regulatory requirements.Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with the Principal Investigators and research team for the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other regulatory documentation.
  • Collates, inputs, and maintains clinical data into electronic research database while also maintaining updated hard copy of the database.
  • Compiles informed consent forms, case reports forms (CRFs), data management and data collection forms in line with mandated requirements.
  • Ensures the scheduling, logistics and coordination of clinical trials, site initiation and site visits is carried out efficiently.
  • Assists the PI and research team in preparing, labeling, logging, and shipment of clinical specimens according to protocol.
  • Updates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals and recommends process improvements to optimize workflow.
  • Reviews source documents, enrollment logs, trackers, research, and regulatory binders for quality control, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Monitors and tracks research-related inventory levels and purchase requisitions while ensuring the maintenance of equipment and disposal of material is as per regulatory standards.
  • Prepares reports, metrics, and summaries for meetings as required.
  • Assists the PI with monitoring and adhering to the research compliance requirements, timelines and achieving projected milestones.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
