Job Description

ACEC Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Qatar. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, providing financial insights, and overseeing financial controlling for our group subsidiaries.Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for ACEC Group and its subsidiaries. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  2. Month-End Close: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for both the parent company and subsidiary entities. This includes journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop and manage budgets and forecasts for ACEC Group and its subsidiaries. Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control at the subsidiary level.
  4. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts for both the parent company and subsidiaries. Identify and resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
  5. Subsidiary Financial Control: Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures specific to ACEC Group subsidiaries. Ensure compliance with group accounting policies while addressing subsidiary-specific needs.
  6. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes for the parent company and subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  7. Audit Preparation: Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits for both the parent company and subsidiaries. Ensure that financial records are auditable and support audit requirements.
  8. Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights at both the group and subsidiary levels to support decision-making. Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement within individual subsidiaries.
  9. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements for ACEC Group and its subsidiaries.
