?Strategic:

Define the strategic direction of the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure the capabilities required are delivered both effectively and efficiently
Continually evaluate SOC services to ensure they are meeting the needs of the customers and to identify new services, which can be developed and sustained to maintain the security posture
Ensure the placement of SOC strategy including the technology roadmap, SOC operational procedure and people resource plan

Operational:

Responsible to oversee the daily 24/7 SOC operations directing staff to ensure security operations
Support a team of SOC analysts L1-L3, team performance, appraisal, training, skills development and coaching
Train and develop the national capabilities in SOC operations
Regularly report the KRIs/KPIs on the activities and performance of the SOC operations
Ensure the maintainability, availability and reliability of the key SOC monitoring platforms and systems
Ensure SOC services are implemented and operated as per the standard offering as well as any customer specific requirements.
Develop and work with our Threat Intelligence to identify threats, develop or recommend countermeasures and perform advanced network and host analysis in the event of a compromise
Validate suspicious events and incidents by using open-source and proprietary intelligence sources
Interface with relevant parties on a daily basis to consult with them on best security practices and help them mature their security posture
Ensure that relevant threat intel is shared with stakeholder as and when appropriate
Prepare audit and inspection assessment reports that identify technical and procedural findings and provide recommended remediation strategies and solutions
Assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the security plans, policies, procedures, and standards
Participates and conduct risk assessment of product selection, vendor evaluations, and implementations of security technologies

Incident Response:

Handle and coordinates a cyber-security response during security incidents through resolution and to lessons learned stage
Lead investigations on security breaches to identify scale and impacted assets
Recommend and implement mitigating actions to contain incident related activity
Oversee the development and operationalization of incident handling and response
