Job Description

Purpose:This is a key role which ensures that Alaraby TV?s programmes grid is built efficiently and follows the channel editorial and commercial strategy.Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build skeleton Presentation schedules ensuring programmes are scheduled accordingly to the channel?s editorial standards and its strategic policies as well as ensuring breaks are scheduled properly
  • Creation of the daily presentation schedules using the Channel Management System
  • Schedule promos into a Presentation Schedule as instructed by the scheduling Supervisor or Manager and Creative team
  • Make the most effective use of promotional inventory for the available spots
  • Schedule secondary events such as logos, bugs, menus, dynamic branding, etc.
  • Apply last minute modifications such as changes of programme slots or part durations
  • Check final presentation Schedule
  • Downloading the schedule to TX by the required time every day and ensuring its correct upload by TCR operators
  • Compilation of As-Run schedules and programme files which accurately reflect what actually went to air
  • Liaise with Sales department to ensure advertising allocation is met and all sponsorship follows sales planning
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure assets are treated and available and ready to air on due time
