Job Description

I- Assignment?Assist the Lab Manager in the monitoring of the quality, safety and environment systems of the lab. Keeps official records and executes administrative work related to the branch lab quality, safety and environment management systems. To calibrate, operate, and repair electrical, mechanical, and recording instruments, apparatus, and equipment in his working area.?II- Function?To undertake all administrative work for the quality, safety and environment division and perform audit duties. To assist in the implementation of the quality, safety and environment systems. To operate and perform calibration for all testing equipment.?III- Aims of the Job: To assist the lab manager in the implementation of the quality, safety and environmentsystemsIV- Reporting:To lab manager?V- Supervising: Technicians, Assistant Technicians, Labors.?VI- Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)Performs weekly or spot auditsMaintains Records in the quality, safety and environmentdivision.Takes and transcribes dictation, and composes and prepares correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.Creates and maintains database and spreadsheet files.Assists in the training and implementation of the system procedures.Assists in reviewing system procedures as spreadsheets or word files according to the ?Instruction for writing quality assurance documents?Conducts statistical analyses related to quality, safety and environment indicatorsUpdates list of quality forms and assist in the follow up and implementation of quality forms actions.Distributes and communicates standards and system documents to the concerned departments as per diffusion matrixReceives customer claims and reports them to the Lab Manager as well as to the General Manager.Updates sample conditions lists and diffusion matrix based on pricing forms.Performs regular backupsUpdates Approved suppliers list based on the supplier evaluation cards.Follows up purchases related to the quality, safety and environmentdivision and maintains their filesEnsures the legal requirements related to safety of personnel and equipment, environmental regulations and any other prevailing law affecting the company process control are properly fulfilledFollows up internal and external calibration with the concerned partiesAssists the quality manager in the maintenance of the electronic laboratory management information systemCollects and maintains regularly the internal and external customer satisfaction formsAssists in training employees on the implementation of the electronic laboratory management information systemMonitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.Responsible for maintain equipment, follow up inventory and update the list of equipment in the company.Perform internal and external calibrations of electronic, mechanical, physical/dimensional and measurement equipment, such as, compression machines, balances, digital mustimeters, thermometers, thermocouples, pressure gauges, callipers, micrometres, etc.Calibrate inspection and or calibration of equipment on site in order to ensure compliance with published specifications such as calibration of concrete batch plants.Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of precision equipment.Implement calibration procedures and methods, according to detailed specifications, and other technical requirements.Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.Identify those equipment which is out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etcIdentify and correct measurement errors, as identified by the related standards.Prepare calibration reports and certificates.Perform uncertainty evaluation and analysis for measurement standards and associated measurement processes.Train subordinate in calibration concepts and procedures.Interact with all other seniors technicians ,technicians, and customersMaintain a clean working environment.Work according to the company Quality System which is registered and accredited to ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17025.?Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned?VII- Co-operation and Contact:With all personnel in the company.?
