Roles & ResponsibilitiesMinimum Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering/ Relevant SubjectEducation qualification obtained from North America, West Europe, AustraliaChartered Membership in relevant professional body (Chartered QA/QC Engineer)preferred and would be an advantagePhysically fit to enter and work in confined spaces and the ability to undertakecompetency assessment to level required (essential)Review the annual Quality Plan submitted by Framework Contractors and ensurecompliance with organisation policies, processes, procedures and standards relatedto quality.Carry out necessary inspection on Framework Contractors work activities to ensurethe Framework Contractor's compliance with all contractual obligations related toquality.Review Inspection and Test Plan submitted by Framework contractors and monitorits proper implementation Framework Contractors and raise developmentrequirements.Support DNO&M Internal Audits and conduct Second Party (BAU) Audit(Framework Contractor's Audit)Review Contractors QA/QC Reports, Non Conformities (NCR) / Observation andinspection records.Coordinate with Framework Contractors to ensure the final resolution of TechnicalQuery (TQ) / Concession Requests (CR) related to any Non Conformities (NCR) inDNO&M Catchment Zone.Conduct Rainy Season preparedness Audit.Carry out the new assets/Projects handing over inspections to assure thecompliance with the Quality requirements & the contract clauses.Carry out spares inspection to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards,project specifications and DNO&M requirements and witness Critical inspection /testing.Minimum of 10 years' work experience in a relevant fieldExperience of implementing and maintaining QMS to ISO 9001 standard, ISO 50001standardExperience of working in a multidisciplinary Organisation preferably in the MiddleEastExtensive knowledge of Health and Safety Policies and ProceduresKnowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and in particular Microsoft Excel 2010Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essentialAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic would be an advantageRaise Non Conformities (NCR) reports as and when required.Ensure to maintain Quality Assurance Policy, Manual, Procedures and ITP on theserver.Coordinate with Area engineer, Framework contractor and integrated departmentwith respect to QA/QC Activities.Provide expert technical QA/QC advice and guidance in relation to complex, highrisk and/or new cross-functional work activities to ensure requirements aresatisfied.Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across theorganisation. Identify and promote relevant quality training needs.Ensure compliance with new business processes, (including but not limited to thoseassociated with EDAM/EMS, Frameworks), ensure redundant/duplicate activities inassigned area are discontinued and provide recommendations for improvement.Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and comply with anynew work instructions.Raise any issues that require consultation to the Engineering Advisor / Expert foradvice on actions/ recommendations.Perform other duties/ tasks as required.Desired Candidate ProfileQA/QC Engineer
