Job Description

Our Middle East operation is currently in a strong growth phase due to the significance of some our projects and as a result we are seeking a Project Manager to join the GHD team, based in our Doha, Qatar office.The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 15 years? experience in Roads and Infrastructure Design Management.
  • Solid experience working for a Consultant working on office based Design Manager covering roads and highways, infrastructure utilities including storm and sewer networks, water treatment, pump and lift stations, and water distribution networks.
  • Strong hands-on technical capabilities.
  • Strong capability in project controls (scheduling, cost reporting, forecasting, variation management etc).
  • Lead engineers in a variety of tasks that are project based on initial concepts to full production within defined deadlines and targets, providing technical information to the engineers to ensure that the work aligns with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.
  • Qualified in managing cross-functional engineers with a proven ability and a track record in delivering results.
  • Demonstrable experience in budget and cost analysis and management.
  • Proven technical skills and ability to guide and develop staff through design and training.
  • Qatar Ashghal experience required (particularly permittingapprovals).
You will provide leadership and planning and coordinate the resources for each job including inputs from other offices, sub-consultants and other suppliers and manage all jobs to deliver them on time, within the budget. You will also provide technical expertise on jobs and assist the development of other staff through appropriate design and training.Your track record as a Project Design Manager background is vital in the role.
