Job Description

OBJECTIVE/ PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe role is responsible for providing technical and commercial support to assist projects department in relation to healthcare projects and specialized systems. Also, this role will be assisting in the overall doors division job execution under projects department. Back-up support related to admin works, market surveying and projects estimation are primary aspect of this job role. Being able to develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify key customers/ market opportunities for business growth
  • Check plans and drawings from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure all calculations are accurate, plus being able to create shop and as built drawings where necessary.
  • Making sure the work performed on-site and materials used are as specified in the drawing/contract.
  • Monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client
  • Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Analyse drawing/blueprints specifications and submit report or recommendations for improvement to the project manager.
  • Analyse cost estimates report and submit it for approval from the project manager.
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per drawings and specifications, and monitoring the on-going construction as per approved design and shop drawings.
  • Overseeing quality control, occupational health & safety and quality control measures on the site and are implemented
  • Communicating with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
  • Daily management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other potential problems.
  • Preparing reports as may be required.
  • Preparing cost estimates and budgets for new projects and received RFQs
