An exciting time for the school, last year we moved to a brand-new, 90,000m state-of-the-art campus, amalgamating two previous sites and ensuring the College?s place at the forefront of educational provision in world-class facilities.The opportunityWe are now looking to appoint a number of one to one Learning Support Assistants for students in our Primary School, to start in August 2022. The post holder will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to the child, responding to their personal needs and ensuring that the child is able to access all learning activities. The Learning Support Assistant will be required to establish a constructive relationship with the child where he/she is encouraged to interact with others and engage in classroom activities and set challenging and demanding expectations that promote self-esteem and independence. We are a multi-cultural organisation that embraces diversity and provides a friendly and informal work environment. This is a non-sponsored position and only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered. This is a fixed-term position for the current academic year in the first instance and is funded through an external source. The post holder will be employed to provide support to specific children and will only remain in the College?s employment while the funding is provided and while the children remain a pupil at the College.About youThe ideal candidate would have some experience working with children ; have an understanding of how to provide support to SEND pupils to achieve the very best outcomes; some experience of working in an educational setting and above all, a supportive and sensitive approach to children with specific needs.
