Job Description

Job Overview:General Description includes complex Piping engineering design, analysis and development of an assigned scope of work in a project and/or specific complex deliverables such as piping stress analysis, piping specification, and specialty items.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Be able to lead a team of Discipline Designers and/ or Engineers for the assigned project tasks and responsibilities and complete the tasks within planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards, MDR and project-specific procedures and to a high professional standard.
  • Be familiar with all Piping Sub-discipline activities and inter-relations.
  • Be familiar with other Disciplines (Engineering, Procurement,..) activities and their inter-relations with Piping.
  • Work includes, among other things, conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, design calculations, specification development and supervising vendor packages for equipment, nozzle loads, and anchor location systems.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers.
  • Assists with training other engineers by providing instruction on new technologies and/or a specialization.
  • Supports the development of new technologies and methods.
  • Is the highest level Engineer position and looked to for technical expertise.
  • Maintains and promotes a focus on companys end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction.
  • Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines.
  • Ensures effective management of change.
  • Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, and quantity and budget
Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Accredited engineering degree as may be required by specific regions.
  • Prefer BSME degree and P.E. certificate of registration.
  • Typically has the following years of detail mechanical engineering experience in lead roles and/or specialization experience15 + 3 as Principal
  • Prefer Russian projects execution experience
  • Is familiar with codes and standards of ASME, API, and ANSI.
  • Is familiar with 3D design tools such as SP3D and AVEVA E3D.
  • Is current on new scientific engineering methods and possesses a broad technical knowledge of the detail design engineering process.
  • Is capable of appropriate use of computer applications and other specialized engineering tools
