Piping Engineering AdvisorJob SpecificationProvide expertise in performing piping engineeringactivities for North Field Production Sustainability (NFPS) Offshore ensuringthat all activities comply with contract documents, standardised processes, maximizereliability and maintainability of piping to ensure safe operations anddelivery of project objectives.Key Job Accountabilities:Perform all Piping Engineering activities in accordance withregulatory requirements, project specifications and approved variations if any,to ensure project deliverables are met.Develop, implement and amend specifications, procedures andcontrols covering all areas of Piping Engineering activities to ensureeffective project delivery.Evaluate complex tasks providing appropriate recommendationsand analysis to management on piping issues. Provide expertise and support toother discipline engineers and contribute to multi-disciplinary tasks, asrequired, ensuring completion of activities within schedule.Provide Piping Engineering inputs and technical supportthroughout Project Life Cycle ensuring timely solutions to problems andproviding flawless project execution. Elevate issues to project ManagementTeam, when necessary.Uphold all project philosophies and procedures ensuringthese are applied to the specification, design and procurement of piping items.Monitor the performance of contractors, providing guidanceas necessary to ensure piping aspects of the scope and optimal costs areachieved while meeting project deliverables.Review and validate all Piping Engineering documents(drawings/datasheets/philosophies/ specifications etc.) produced by vendors,contractors and consultants to ensure alignment with project specifications andCompany standards.Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technicallyaligned and in compliance with project specification and contract documents, inparticular EPC contractors scope of work.Ensuring that Qatargas Operations Policies, Standards ofBusiness Conduct, Qatargas Project Management System (QGPMS), are adhered toduring detail design phase do the project.Participate in various project reviews including SafetyWorkshops, Cold Eye Reviews and Value Improvement Workshops, as required.Minimum RequirementsBachelor Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.15 years? experience of Piping Engineering in a majorproject environment in the oil and gas industry with minimum 5 years as leadrole, with a broad knowledge of engineering execution including designstandards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design,construction and operations.Working knowledge of 3D modelling software and processesused during detail engineering phase of the project.
