Job Description

Pipeline Engineering SpecialistThe NFXP Offshore Pipelines Engineering Specialist supportsthe delivery of all aspects of Pipelines design covering equipment, materialsand technical design. Effectively collaborates and interfaces with engineeringand contractor engineers and Operations personnel (as required) to ensure thatthe Pipelines design scope of supply is fully integrated and optimized.Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Co-ordinates the definition, selection, and design,including planning for detailed design, procurement, installation, testing andcommissioning of the pipelines. Ensures that related technical requirements(e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) developed during FEED fullycomply with project requirements; provides pipeline engineering expertise andoversight of the FEED contractor?s, and, as required. Verifies the productionof associated deliverables within project budget and schedule.
  • Ensures quality assurance and production timing of thePipelines engineering deliverables is in accordance with the approved projectexecution schedule.
  • Helps to steward the timely delivery of technicalattachments and scope description to all Pipelines-related purchase orders.
  • Owns the Pipelines-related technical attachments and scopedescription to all EPC contracts; pipelines engineering design in accordancewith the projects change management program.
  • Hels to steward the FEED Contractors Pipelines-relatedactivities with respect to Pipelines engineering execution including beingknowledgeable of Pipelines engineering execution plans, procedures, objectives,and overall job requirements.
  • Verifying that the FEED employs the appropriate Pipelinesdesign tools, including computer hardware and software; that the FEEDcontractor adheres to all appropriate Pipelines specifications and standardsand that the FEED contractor compliance with design verification processes.
  • Advise the FEED contractor?s Pipelines engineering anddesign organization with respect to compliance with Qatargas policies forprevention of information brokering and compliance with business standardsguidelines; engineering and design procedures, processes, and deliverables.
  • Cooperates with review teams and supports post-auditactivities with respect to design activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in a related engineeringdiscipline
  • 8 years of closely related professional experience, 5 yearsof which should be at the project engineering / detailed engineering level.
  • Strong organizational, management, and technical judgmentskills
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, andfrequent changes in priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write,and speak fluent English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs,Lotus Notes, etc.
