Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to oversee Facilities Management (FM) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, combined with expertise in hard and soft FM services, ensuring the school environment is safe, compliant, and operationally efficient. Key Responsibilities Operations & Technical Management ú Oversee the full scope of Facilities Management operations, with a strong focus on technical (hard services) including HVAC, electrical, MEP systems, and building infrastructure. ú Ensure all systems are maintained to optimal performance through planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. ú Manage subcontractors and service providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.Soft Services Oversight ú Supervise delivery of soft services, including: ú Housekeeping ú Pest control ú Waste management ú Security ú Porter services ú Ensure services are aligned with school operational requirements and safety standards.Commercial & Client Management ú Maintain strong client relationships with school management, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. ú Demonstrate commercial awareness, including budgeting, cost control, and contract management. ú Identify opportunities for service improvement and cost optimization.Compliance & Safety ú Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and statutory requirements (Qatar-specific). ú Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. ú Promote a culture of safety across all operations. SkillsQualifications & Requirements Experience ú 6?9 years of experience in Facilities Management or similar operations. ú Minimum 5 years of experience within GCC countries. ú Proven track record in managing technical FM operations in complex environments. ú Experience in educational institutions (schools) is highly desirable.Skills & Competencies ú Strong understanding of hard and soft FM services management. ú Proven experience in commercial management and customer relations. ú Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. ú Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and operational priorities.Certifications (Preferred) Candidates with any of the following certifications will be prioritized: ú IFMA ú RICS ú IMechE ú IET (formerly IEE) ú BIFM / IWFM ú CIBSE ú ICE ú Or equivalent professional certificationsOther Requirements ú Valid Qatar Driving License (mandatory) ú Fluent in English and Arabic ú Strong technical/engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
