Job Description

SummaryRole Summary:The On Wing Support Technician will provide quick-turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair and field services.In the On Wing Support Technician role, you will provide engine troubleshooting, field repairs, and line maintenance while developing positive relationships with customers through outstanding customer awareness. The role is based at OWS MEA, Doha, Qatar.Essential Responsibilities:In addition, as the On Wing Support Technician, you will :

  • Take ownership for and follow through on full scope of work tasks and projects.
  • Inform and Focus the needs of customers, always delivering with focus.
  • Build customer relationships through good communication skills and understanding of customer perspectives.
  • Act with humility and lead with transparency at all times.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in repair of large commercial engines
  • Federal Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) license
  • Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to domestic and international air locations of large commercial engines, as required
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.

  • Prior internship experience within GE On Wing Support or a GE Engine Services business
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean and problem solving
  • Possess a desire to learn and grow with advances in technology
  • LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34, and GENX experience
  • Line maintenance, engine changes, module removal & installation, or LRU removals and installations
  • Demonstrated quality, compliance and customer satisfaction skills
