Job Description

? Configuration, troubleshooting of all devices and technologies listed above.? Will be responsible for the management, troubleshooting and corrective action of passive network infrastructure (copper and fiber) with approximately 11,000 nodes.? Liaise with various departments and contractors to resolve issues related to systems that run on/utilize the converged IT network infrastructure such as AV systems (lighting, sound, rigging), CCTV, Access Control, BMS (link to CP2, Escalator Management, House Lighting control & temperature management systems, Solar panel management systems etc.).? Implement L2 security technologies such as IP ARP inspection, port-security, IP DHCP Snooping etc.? Day-to-day data port configuration and troubleshooting.? Will be responsible to liaise with vendors (Cisco and Dell) for incident/problem resolution within agreed SLA. Engineer should be able to troubleshoot all technologies by himself/herself without smartnet & TAC support.?? Replacement of faulty network device and re-introduction (configuration and physical placement) of replacement devices upon purchase of spares.? Proactive physical network infrastructure monitoring a daily basis and perform necessary health checks to ensure maximum service availability and least downtime. Network monitoring solution is not available.? Administration of critical multiple firewalls protecting the network edge, internal network, datacenter network and ensuring proper segregation of traffic between corporate and guest networks.? Will participate in all network infrastructure and network software related projects.? Maintain/create accurate network diagrams for various network segments? Backup, validation, archiving and restoration of network configuration/network applications.? Perform Bi-annual preventative maintenance on network active & passive infrastructure.? In addition to corporate support, provide event service delivery for company Events including the creation of separate VRF?s (based on MPLS technology) to create multiple event networks across multiple main distributions and still ensure security is maintained.? Service delivery for events has to be end to end, for example providing an internet connection for an event would include ? setup of the service in the appropriate location (liaise with IT Event planner and/or Operations team) and network, securing the cable neatly (as per companys requirement) to the floor/carpet with minimal cable runs, testing of the service, supporting the service during the live event and revocation of the service upon event completion. Timings for event delivery could vary and could include weekend and overnight works.? Pro-actively monitor Event Business Management System for event related service delivery.? Liaise with service desk for incident/problem resolution.?Deliverables ? Daily WAN, Core, Distribution, IDF & Telecom Room health check reports.? Monthly report on RMA and TAC cases.? Configuration change log on a weekly basis.? Report on detailed bi-annual in-depth device health check/maintenance.? Up to date detailed network diagrams and documentation (in areas where documentation doesn?t exist, documentation will need to be created).? Monthly service report.
