Job Description

Job SummaryLeads the HR function within Qatar, working closely with business leaders and wider ME HR Operations team.Job Duties

  • Ensures compliance of regulations and laws within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures consistency of Corporate HR systems and policies within areas of responsibility,
  • Makes HR recommendations, as needed, for changes in policies and procedures.
  • Independently advises operations on complex HR matters and is relied on heavily for individuals expertise.
  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies for Human Resources.
  • Manages and mentors HR / PRO team within Qatar.
  • Offers multi-site support to the business
Specific Skills Required :
  • Demonstrable knowledge of sound people management practice.
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application within the workplace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience gained within an engineering environment would be highly beneficial but not essential the importance is on prior experience within a busy corporate environment.
  • Experience of developing and implementing people focused initiatives/strategies across a multi-site environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the local market would be highly beneficial

Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of 10+ years experience is required for the role, candidates would ideally come from an Engineering consultancy background, otherwise experience with professional services or Law firms would be accepted.
Additional Comments
  • Ideally candidate will be currently based in Qatar
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ideally CIPD qualified.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject, or able to demonstrate sufficient experience within a similar role.
