Job Description

Responsible to identify, analyze, assess triggered transactions and report suspicious activity to the regulator in timely manners. Review and update processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices. Handled screening and monitoring alerts in timely manners. Conduct risk based approach to identify trends and recommend corrective measures to prevent exposure. Collaborate with other departments for timely response against RFIS. Responsible to assess monitoring scenarios and improve the true positive ratio.ÿThe individual is responsible to assist DMLRO/MLRO with regulatory inquiries and AML projects, assisting In implementing audit and FCC Assurance recommendations, system enhancement, policies and procedures as well as the associated reviews.ÿAssist DMLRO/MLRO In enforcing full compliance In a proactive manner to prevent the organization from being exposed to the risk of legal / regulatory sanctions and the associated financial reputation / loss that MAR may incur / suffer as a result of failure to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and codes of conduct and standards of good practice relevant to the organizations activities.FINANCIALÿ

  • Oversee AML/CFT team and provide guidanceÿ
  • Assist the AML Transaction Monitoring Team in overseeing and monitoring AML/CFT & Sanctions functions with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Carry out regular reviews of Cash Deposit Slip, AML/CFT Monitoring and sanctions alerts, Review first line of defense processes to assess AML/CFT, KYC, customer data quality and standards. Draft report and implement corrective measures and follow up, when required.ÿ
  • Respond AML/CFT & Sanctions related inquiries to the regulator/Law Enforcement In timely manners.ÿ
  • Build tactful and scalable solutions for monitoring team to manage FCC tasks and risks.ÿ
  • Draft and maintain relevant documentation for changes to the FCC program in accordance to the regulatory updatesÿ
  • Assess screening and monitoring alerts and Identify risk associated with alerts. Triage the alerts based on the risk and timely closure.ÿ
  • Apply 360 degree approach while investigating any alert or reported activity Provide guidance to the team to apply holistic approach to mitigate FCC risk associated with caseÿ
  • Design robust process to submit Internal/external STR in timely manners Investigate high risk and sensitive casesÿ
  • Recommend different training modules to DMLRO/MLRO o improve internal STR submissions and true positive alertsÿ
CUSTOMERÿ
  • Act as point of contact for enquiries from all branches and staff conducting KYC, transaction monitoring, risk classification and other issues regarding AML/CFT querles, policies or procedures.ÿ
  • Act as point of contact liaison with the instructions of the MLRO/DMLRO between the relevant regulatory authorities including FIU, QCB, QFMA and QE, officials from other government bodies in Qatar and the regulators in all countries that the organization operates in.ÿ
  • Act as a contact point with the instructions of the MLRO/DMLRO for the requirements of correspondent Banks to address their queries related to Compliance, AML & CFT Issues.ÿ
  • Participate, where required, in internal and external committee meetings, seminars, conferences etc. relevant to Compliance.
